Julia Vandenoever grew up on the East Coast but moved west in search of powder and adventure. The quest for adventure led to an 11-year career as a photo editor at Outside, Skiing, and Backpacker and more recently an award-winning journey into the world of editorial and fine art photography.
Julia is also the co-curator at Picture Society, a not-for-profit to showcase fine art photography to the Rocky Mountain Region. Our exhibits display personal projects from established photographers and emerging talent with a focus on informing and educating the public about existing personal projects from around the country.
Her editorial and commercial work has appeared in 5280, Vail Resorts, Sunset, Cooking Light, Backpacker, Frasca Food and Wine, Noodles & Company, Parenting, Yoga Journal, American Cowboy, Skiing, Bark, Mothering, Children’s Museum of Denver, Bird Dog Press, Mountain Living, Spry, Vermont Life, Whole Foods, and Food and Wine.
Her fine art project, Sidelined, was juried into Review Santa Fe and featured on Fraction Magazine in 2012.
